The Dubai Metro Music Festival is back for its fourth edition, and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! From September 21-27, five of Dubai’s busiest metro stations—The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC—will be transformed into vibrant stages for musical performances from around the world.
This weeklong celebration, organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), in partnership with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is part of a continued effort to enhance the cultural experience of Dubai’s residents and visitors.

Dubai Metro Music Festival
The festival will bring together 20 talented musicians from the UAE and across the globe, covering a variety of styles, genres, and instruments. Whether you’re into traditional music or modern beats, there will be something for everyone. Imagine stepping off the metro and being greeted by the soothing sounds of the qanun (a traditional string instrument), or enjoying contemporary tunes created with innovative instruments, like percussion made from recycled materials.
Rashed Al Mulla, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at RTA, expressed that this year’s festival is particularly special, as it coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro. He highlighted that the event reflects the RTA’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for both locals and visitors.
“This initiative is part of our effort to increase the happiness and satisfaction of everyone in Dubai,” Al Mulla said.
A Platform for Emerging Talent
One of the festival’s most exciting aspects is its focus on showcasing young talent. This year, audiences will have the chance to see a nine-year-old qanun prodigy and a 14-year-old Emirati pianist with autism, both of whom are sure to deliver unforgettable performances. The diverse lineup of musicians will perform from 5 pm to 10 pm daily across the metro stations, creating a dynamic rotation of artists throughout the week.
Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, emphasized that the festival has become a key event in the city’s cultural calendar, turning everyday metro rides into a journey filled with creativity and innovation.
A Must-See Cultural Experience
Whether you’re a daily commuter or just passing through, the Dubai Metro Music Festival is an experience not to be missed. It’s more than just entertainment; it’s a reflection of Dubai’s rich cultural diversity and its ongoing efforts to promote creativity.
