The UAE’s largest telecom company e& is offering tourists a free eSIM with 10GB data, valid for one day. Visitors to the UAE now have a hassle-free way to stay connected as soon as they arrive.
The eSIM can be activated instantly upon passing through immigration by scanning a QR code and using facial recognition technology. This eliminates the need to wait in long queues, making it easier for tourists to access essential services and connect with loved ones right away.
In 2023, over 17 million tourists visited Dubai, and 3.8 million visited Abu Dhabi. With such a large number of visitors, this initiative offers a simple and convenient solution for staying connected. Khaled ElKhouly, the chief consumer officer of e&, highlighted that this step reflects their commitment to innovation and enhancing the experience of tourists.
